All-Russian Astronomical Conference (VAK-2024) “Modern astronomy: from the Early Universe to exoplanets and black holes” The Special Astrophysical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SAO RAS), the Sternberg Astronomical Institute of the Moscow State University (SAI MSU), and the Scientific Council on Astronomy (SCA) of the Department of Physical Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences have taken an initiative to hold the All-Russian Astronomical Conference VAK-2024 on all topical areas of astronomical research carried out in the astronomical institutes of the Russian Federation. The aim of the conference is to bring together experienced experts and novice researchers in different fields of astronomy, observers and theorists, to exchange the ideas and methods and to join their efforts in solving scientific challenges. The conference was held on August 25-31, 2024 at SAO RAS (Nizhny Arkhyz, Karachai-Cherkess Republic). The conference was held in combined offline and online format. In total, 347 reports have been presented offline and 142 online. More than 350 astronomers from various scientific institutes of Russia and some foreign countries have participated in the conference. These proceedings contain 188 articles, the total volume of the book is almost 1000 pages. Single-blind peer review of the papers was carried out by scientific coordinators of the key conference sections along with a fairly wide pool of Russian scientists at the suggestion of the coordinators. The technical and English editing of the proceedings was carried out by the SAO RAS staff. The organizers thank the Scientific Organizing Committee for the high scientific level of the conference, and the Local Organizing Committee and SAO RAS staff for creating the necessary conditions for its successful work.
